For almost 20 years now, the Trio Belli-Fischer-Rimmer formed by trombonist Frederic Belli, pianist Nicholas Rimmer and percussionist Johannes Fischer has been thrilling audiences with novel programmes and an unbridled joy in playing together. In this unusual line-up, they explore classical works in a refreshing and unconventional way.

Their repertoire ranges from Bach to Xenakis, from Brahms to Weill and from Bernstein to Waits. Their programmes take the audience on a rollercoaster ride through music history, preconceptions about genre pigeon-holes do not apply here, old influences new and vice versa. Astonishing connections and interactions emerge across the centuries.

The three musicians keep surprising their audiences: Each concert is unique. Their arrangements are usually created through joint experimentation, leave room for improvisation and continue to develop over the years.
