Lead by lutenist Konrad Junghänel, Cantus Cölln is considered one of the most renowned vocal ensembles of its kind worldwide. Its repertoire comprises the German and Italian vocal literature from the Renaissance to the Baroque era. The ensemble sound is characterised by its flawless homogeneity, without any loss of individual vocal timbres. Cantus Cölln impresses with perfect intonation, sublime vocal transparency and soulful expressivity. In numerous concerts around the globe the ensemble has received great acclaim from the public and the press. Many of its more than 35 CDs have been awarded international prizes and are seen as reference interpretations today.
